Controls are difficult

This game looks great. Richly stylized graphics. The downside is most of the environments look the same. The controls are very difficult to use and dont seem too responsive when quickly tapping. The level of difficulty is severe even on easy and there is no way to gain health once a battle has started leading to repeating very long battles due to dying constantly.
